TRUST, ESTATE & TAX PLANNING

Structure Wealth for What Comes Next

Some clients come to Cambient with generations of trusts and entities already in place. Others are establishing their first estate plan. As a multi-family office, we connect that work with investment management, tax planning, and ongoing financial administration. We work alongside attorneys, CPAs, and trustees to evaluate strategies, identify gaps in existing arrangements, and coordinate trust funding, asset transfers, and related investment decisions.

Planning Across the Family

Before recommending a gift, trust, or change in ownership, we consider the client’s ongoing financial needs, the assets involved, and the circumstances of the intended beneficiaries. Taxes are one consideration; access to capital, control over assets, and the roles of trustees and beneficiaries also matter.

We work with counsel to evaluate those choices, whether the client is establishing a first estate plan or reviewing arrangements built over several generations. With existing trusts and entities, we assess how they work together, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and consider whether they remain appropriate as circumstances change.

Tax Planning as a Core Discipline

Taxes are often one of the largest expenses a family will face over a lifetime. We approach tax planning as an ongoing discipline rather than a year-end exercise.
Cambient works with families and their CPAs to identify planning opportunities around investments, gifting, business interests, liquidity events, charitable decisions, and wealth transfer. Our role is to understand how those decisions interact, model the trade-offs, and bring ideas forward before opportunities are lost.

Proactive Planning, Not Just Coordination

Cambient brings planning ideas forward, models alternatives, and works with attorneys, CPAs, and trustees to evaluate the choices. We consider the effects on taxes, investments, and cash needs together, so clients can understand the trade-offs before making a decision.

Our involvement continues with trust funding, account ownership changes, and related investment decisions. We revisit the planning as circumstances change rather than waiting for the next scheduled estate review.
